Pasquinelli (2023), The Eye of the Master

On February 6th, 2025, we held our inaugural reading group session to discuss the conclusion chapter of Matteo Pasquinelli’s The Eye of the Master (2023), exploring the relationship between artificial intelligence, labour, and capitalism.

Thank you, everyone, for joining our first gathering! Keen observational analyses through and through on how AI is likely to affect white-collar jobs. Not to mention its known impact on the global working class (what Mary Gray and Siddharth Suri call “ghost work”). Looking forward to many more sessions to come, so that AI initiatives on our campus remain cognizant of the longer history of labor relations.
